- Heart Pine Farm Tables -

This Heart Pine farm table is hand built in the Hochstetler workshop. With a heavy top (1 1/4 inches thick) and very sturdy legs this table will hold up to many years of family dinners. The top is usually three or four boards wide and the legs are held in place with a mortise and tenon and have wooden pegs holding it all together. The table also features a 4 inch beaded apron board, which is traditional on many Early American tables. see detail of leg and apron board below

Approximate dimensions of tables: height: 30 inches width: 40 - 42 inches Length: 6 feet

The wholesale price for this table is $3200 with the square Shaker style legs. This table with turned legs is $4000 ( see the Chestnut Table for details on the turned legs ) This table is a slight variation of the one above. It has a top that is not quite as thick and a leg that is not quite as heavy. The price on this table is the same as the above.

Appalachian woods builds reproduction furniture from antique woods like Heart Pine, Chestnut, and Oak. We have a farm table in wormy chestnut and in heart pine. Also we have sofa tables or hall tables in the same antique woods. The style of the furniture is somewhat of a mixture between the shaker style and the early American style.
