Antique Hand Hewn Log Cabin

This original hand hewn log cabin is a full 2 stories and measures 17' x 21' in size.

 

 

 

Downstairs ceiling height is about 7' 11" and the upstairs ceiling height is 6' 6".

The hand hewn logs in this log cabin are solid and sound

 

This log cabin features the traditional "saddle notch" style of log fitting.

The log sizes vary a good bit, but many have a hand hewn face that is close to 12" in width.

Most logs are solid Oak and there are also 4 or 5 logs that are solid White Pine

This cabin is currently at out lumber yard here in Stuarts Draft, Virginia and is scheduled to be cleaned fairly soon.
